Age of Reptiles- Ancient Egyptians order form

Apparently if you take this form to your local comic book store, they'll preorder  it for you.

That ad is cool, I don't know about that drawing though :)

Apollo 13 storyboards 010

I'm actually surprised at how many cut shots there were from the launch.

Apollo 13 storyboards 009

Another cut shot. This one should have gone ahead of yesterday's post.

Here's a me pic from Dino Gallery Live 2

That's me drawing/asleep at dino gallery live a couple of Saturdays ago.
That's Ancient Egyptians page 17 from the final issue I'm rudely inking there instead of fraternizing.

Apollo 13 storyboards 007

This was one of the shots cut from the launch sequence.

Avatar-The Last Airbender: The Phoenix

Here's the phoenix, all by herself, no Azula trying to steal her egg:

Age of Reptiles-Ancient Egyptians update

Everyone,

Age of Reptiles-Ancient Egyptians #1 will go on sale June 3, 2015.

Here's the artwork to cover number one:

…and one of the pages from issue 1:

Here's a link to the press release:

Age of Reptiles returns

Avatar- The Last Airbender: Azula

This is Azula, the character from the Avatar series I worked on, and from the piece I just completed for the Avatar crew art show. My niece Lily tells me that I've drawn Azula in the wrong costume, and she's probably right.

Never argue with a fan:)

Apollo 13 storyboards 003

This panel should follow the previous post's panel, where the astronauts run out from underneath the crawler and the camera tilts up to reveal the rocket on top of the crawler, which was an enormous machine that held the rocket and moved it from the building it was built in to the launch platform.

Boy, these are some old-timer storyboards, lol.

Apollo 13 storyboards 002

I forgot whether they did this in the film, but I always thought it was one of my few but good ideas.

Apollo 13 storyboard panel 001

It's been twenty years since Apollo 13, and I thought it was time to start sharing these storyboards with all five of you, but some of them are simply too poorly-drawn to share. I guess in the end I retain some semblance of vanity. Anyway, the next few posts will be about the 'best' of these boards.

Bella and Nito @ the Avatar Gallery opening

Want to take a moment and pump up Bella and Nito, my niece and nephew, for taking the time to go to the avatar show!

I dunno about that artwork, but they sure seemed happy!

Nito is writing, "Please keep Tio Ricky away from all those In-N-Out burgers he eats!"

Bella is writing, "And the Shakey's pizza too."

A good time was had by all!

 :)

Avatar/Korra art show

I don't know what all five of you were doing last night after midnight, I was home and sound asleep by that time, but this was the ridiculous scene at the show:

Pulled this down from Bryan Konietzko's tumblr, and it was nice to catch up with him, Mike Di Martino and crew members I had not seen in years.
Somehow, in all this mayhem, my piece sold.

Azula and the Phoenix

My piece for  the Korra/Avatar crew art show. You can find details HERE!

Avatar the Last Airbender- Spirit World sketch

I remember eating a turkey sandwich while I did this drawing. There's a pretty good submarine sandwich place next to Nickelodeon studios:)

Avatar: Shirshu 2- Electric Boogaloo!

He does not have eyes in this one. The barbed tongue was my idea. I like the earlier rough better, but what do I know?

Avatar- The Last Airbender: Shirshu concept sketch

I believe that this was the first concept sketch done for the character called the Shirshu.
Pretty sure, since I drew him with eyes in this drawing, so it was before we decided it would be blind.

Just plugging the korea/avatar crew art show right here.

Avatar- The Last Airbender: Earth Nation building roughs

I'm pretty sure I did these roughs for the episode called 'the Avatar State'.

The whole building is supposed to look like the Earth Nation symbol from above.

I dunno.

Avatar- The Last Airbender: Swamp Monster

Another day, another monster, this one from episode 204:

Again, just publicizing the Korra/Avatar group art show this Saturday.

Details HERE!

Avatar- The Last Airbender: Ko's Cave

This is a design for Ko's cave, which I'm pretty sure went unused. Ko is a character in the spirit world seen in the last few episodes of season one, and if I can find the Ko sketch I'll post that one as well.

Avatar- The last Airbender: Koizilla sketch

Getting ready for the big Avatar art show this Saturday at Gallery Nucleus, I'm going to post a bunch of  my original artwork from the show. I worked on the back half of season one and a few episodes of season 2 as an assistant Art DIrector. Here's my original sketch for Koizilla, which is what we called Ang when he went into this mode at the end of the two (three?) part episode at the Northern Water Tribe's Temple:
