It's Halloween Time (almost!)

I've decided I have not given enough presence on these pages to my first novel, Sam Specter and the Book of Spells, and given that the Halloween season is nearly upon us, I thought I'd give some images and insight to the visual aspect of the novel, the cover and chapter headings. If you have any kids at home or in your life, I recommend this story for them, or for yourself, if you are a fan of Ray Bradbury or It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! I'm going to post some of the raw scans from my sketchbooks in order to explain how the complex cover and interior artwork were created. Here's a rough of the background of the cover:
