Favorite Theme Songs: WKRP in Cincinnati

One of my all time favorite theme songs. I was a kid when this show was on. This was...1978, maybe?

Edit: I had to repost. No theme song should ever be heard in it's entirety.

X2 sentinels re-post

Since the new X-Men movie came out, I thought I'd repost my design for the Sentinels, done for X2 back in the day.

Yasiel Puig's diving catch!

I can do this, but I don't want to.

Matrix storyboard-ship sits in the tunnel

I drew a bunch of the storyboards set in the tunnels.

I also had a turkey sandwich for lunch.

How to Train your pet dragon- head study

An early sketch. Liked the pincers on the chin.

Star Wars: The gang walks toward the cantina

That's the probe from 2001: a Space Odyssey on the right hand side.

Temple of Doom: Indy's pretty angry

This is from my favorite scene in the film, where Indy saves the kids in the mines.

Matrix storyboards- Sentinels loading the bomb

Just found a bunch of old Matrix sequels storyboards, and I guess I'll start to post these babies.

Here you go:

Temple of Doom turns 30, and I turn 50

It's not my birthday TODAY, but this baby came out when I turned 20, thirty years ago on the 22nd, and it has a special place in my heart, and I'm gonna post some TOD stuff this week as well :)

Stick around.

Cool test

If this image confuses you, then go away.

Nobody cares that you worked on that stupid Wolverine movie!

Me neither, but I hung out with some of my film illustrator buddies and paid the bills :)

Star Wars- Chewie and Han rip on Obi-Wan

Chewie: "Reeeuhhhhh!"

Han: "You said it Chewie. Where did you dig up that old fossil?"

Another lame X-Men Origins: Wolverine storyboard panel

This is where he plays poker with Gambit.

Star Wars- The Jawas capture RD

I always thought that the Jawas were some of the weirdest and coolest aliens in the Star Wars universe.

HR Giger

HR Giger passed away a few days ago, and I wanted to express how much his work influenced and inspired me as a kid. I found his work in a book about the making of Alien, the 1979 film, and I was impressed as to how much his work influenced the final film. Here's a few images that I thought of when I heard of his passing:

That's an airbrush he's holding as he works on the alien hieroglyphics, which I thought were so cool in the film.

Here is his crowning glory, his design of the alien, which has never been duplicated in terms of originality, in my opinion.

A lot of people don't know that Giger designed AND sculpted the Space Jockey from that film, again something that we simply had never seen before on film.

RIP

HR Giger

Star Wars- the Droid sale

My god, what a beautiful shot. Check out that Jawa next to Threepio.

How to Train your pet Dragon green death drawing

I provided the early concept sketches for the green death dragon character at the end of the movie, and somehow they turned my mediocrity into a fun design. I did not design wings for this baby, that musta come later.
Who cares?

Theme park design lame drawing

I'm thinkin' salad for lunch :(

Stop goofing around on Stage Four!

Found this old pic and thought I'd share. I don't know what all five of you were doing on the third of March, 1993, but I was goofing around at work on stage 4 at Paramount studios on DS9.

Really lousy Surrogates storyboards

I did these reallyfast for a movie called Surrogates. I have not seen it, so I don't even know if they used the storyboards. They called me in at the last minute, and I did these quickly and badly, if you ask me.
